I-LINC is an open membership platform, that enables people to connect with any stakeholder interested in improving youth employability and entrepreneurship. I-LINC wants wants to find ways to empower young people to become agents of change using the Information and Communication Technology as a tool for that change.

The I-Linc community and the Codemob project have, therefore, a lot in common. To start and facilitate interactions between these two projects with the same overall goal, the technical University of Dortmund | Social Research Centre hosted a Webinar on April 27th to present Codemob to the I-LINC community.

The Webinar also gives a first general insight into Codemob's aims and methodologies as well as its context and project-environment. The two newly developed modules on teaching Coding and digital skills for mobile devices are an addition to the pre-existent 11-modules vocational training curriculum for e-facilitators. During the Webinar, Bastian Pelka introduces the curriculum, whose first modules were developed in 2013 during the project "trans-e-facilitator". For detailed information and the full description of all modules, please visit the projects homepage (www.trans-efacilitator.eu). Coding and the competent and sensuous use of mobile devices is of growing importance within the global economy and therefore also for the employability of youngsters. In spaces of e-learning (i.e. Telecentres) the curriculum comes to practice while mixing online and offline learning-phases to enhance the usability and transferability (blended-learning methodology).

Jennifer Eckhardt briefly presents the main focus and projects career as well as an overview on the content and structure of the two curricula. It is highlighted, how the course on Coding mainly aims on rising interest and give first insights into the potential of coding for employability. The module on the use of mobile devices has a slight focus on data security and safe use of mobile internet. Both courses follow an individualized approach and are centred around the very own possibilities of the learner via didactic-methodologies like Problem- and Project-based learning and flipped-classroom approach.
